Service Nature
Our services consist of custom web development work, which is a professional service that begins immediately upon project initiation. Unlike physical products, digital services cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense. This policy addresses refunds, cancellations, and project modifications.
Consultation and Initial Payment
Initial consultations are provided free of charge. If you decide to proceed with a project, a service agreement will be established outlining project scope, timeline, deliverables, and payment terms. An initial deposit is typically required to begin work.
Cancellation Policy
Before Project Commencement: If you cancel before we begin development work, you may be eligible for a full refund of any deposits paid, minus any non-refundable expenses already incurred (such as third-party service fees or specialized resources).
After Project Commencement: Once development work has begun, cancellation terms will be specified in your individual service agreement. Generally, you will be responsible for payment for all work completed up to the cancellation date, plus any non-cancellable expenses.
Refund Policy
Completed Work: Refunds are not available for work that has been completed and delivered according to the agreed-upon specifications in your service agreement.
Unsatisfactory Work: If you are not satisfied with completed work, we will work with you to make reasonable revisions within the scope of the original agreement. If issues cannot be resolved through revisions, we will discuss appropriate solutions on a case-by-case basis.
Project Delays: If we fail to meet agreed-upon deadlines due to our error, we will work to resolve the issue and may offer compensation as outlined in your service agreement.
Scope Changes: If you request significant changes beyond the original project scope, additional fees may apply. These will be discussed and agreed upon before work proceeds.
Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in individual service agreements. Typical payment structures include:
- Initial deposit upon project acceptance
- Milestone payments tied to project completion stages
- Final payment upon project completion and delivery
All payments are due according to the schedule in your service agreement. Late payments may result in project delays.
Revisions and Modifications
Your service agreement will specify the number of revision rounds included in your package. Additional revisions beyond the agreed-upon number may incur additional fees. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction within the scope of the original agreement.
Hosting and Ongoing Services
If your package includes hosting or ongoing maintenance services:
- Hosting services are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
- You may cancel hosting services with 30 days written notice
- Refunds for prepaid hosting periods are prorated based on the unused portion
- Upon cancellation, you will have access to your website files and data
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or internet service provider failures.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises regarding services or payments, we encourage open communication to resolve the matter. If we cannot reach a resolution:
- We will work with you in good faith to find a mutually acceptable solution
- Disputes will be governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada
- Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of British Columbia
Consumer Protection Rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Canadian consumer protection laws. If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights that cannot be excluded or limited by this policy.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Return Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your service agreement will govern that specific project.
